Get Inspired

While flicking through images on the net the other day I came across some of the most inspiring photographs I had ever seen, New York photographer Rodney Smith.

The more I look the more amazed I am at what can be made with a creative mind. Some images look like there was a team of minds involved, styling, make up etc, but some of the most inspiring were the simplest of photographs like a man standing in a field of barley, suit, bowler hat, holding up a pair of scissors like spectacles. Instead of a handkerchief in his breast pocket there's a stalk of barley. Honestly, it's the most inspiring set of images I have ever seen. The attention to detail is striking.

Beautiful black and whites. In his Bio he says he only shoots film and knows the darkroom like the back of his hand, I doubt he only shoots film because he hates digital, more like he is so frigging good at what he does and what he uses that there's no need for any other types of camera.

I've absolutely loved looking through these pictures, it's been a breath of fresh air for me and utterly inspiring.
